Middle Adult Guided Journal | Journaling is for the Dogs | Purpose & Legacy

This is the season where everything you've built either means something — or it doesn't.

The middle adult years are a time of reckoning. Career. Legacy. Gratitude. The goals you reached and the ones you quietly let go. The Journaling is for the Dogs: Middle Adult Edition gives this season the structure and intention it deserves.

Rooted in Erikson's developmental stage of Generativity vs. Stagnation, this journal was built for adults ages 40–65 who are ready to finish strong, set meaningful goals, and build a foundation that lasts.

Inside, you'll find tools to foster:

• Goal Setting & Achievement — prompts focused on career, personal legacy, and actionable steps toward new milestones

• Gratitude & Mindfulness — activities to deepen appreciation, reduce stress, and maintain a positive outlook

• Self-Help & Clarity — direction for prioritizing mental well-being and continuing to grow

46 guided journal topics. Each includes context, guided prompts, and space to write. Some entries will be difficult. Don't give up — each prompt has a purpose.

Perfect for:

• Adults ages 40–65 navigating purpose, legacy, and what comes next

• A thoughtful holiday or birthday gift for someone entering a new life chapter

• Anyone who wants to finish the year with intention and start the next one with clarity

• Therapists and counselors working with midlife clients

Part of the Journaling is for the Dogs series — also available for teens and young adults (20s–30s).
