Meet Piper!
Piper's not available for adoption right now.
Something's Wrong With Piper
Piper has been with us longer than any other dog here. Long enough that I know exactly how she leans into you before she trusts you, exactly what she needs to hear before a vet visit, exactly how she watches the door when someone new walks in.

What's actually wrong
Piper's knees need surgery. Not one, two: TPLO surgery on each knee, with an 8-10 week recovery in between. Each surgery runs just under $5,000. That's about $10,000 total, and I need to raise it within the next two months.

Why she's not up for adoption yet
I won't place Piper into a new home while she's still hurting. She deserves to walk into her next family healthy, not carrying this. So her surgeries come first, her home comes after.
What I'm asking
I'm covering this myself no matter what comes in, on my own card if I have to. But I'd rather not do it alone, and I'd rather Piper's story not just happen quietly in the background while I hope for the best.
If you want to be part of getting her there, here's how:

Every bit helps. So does sharing her story with someone who might care.

About Piper:
Piper loves the outdoors and is happiest on the trail, riding in the car, splashing around in a creek, playing fetch, and being near her person.
She is an incredibly confident, intelligent dog who thrives with consistency, structure, and clear expectations. Piper has spent much of her life exploring trails off-leash and makes an incredible hiking companion. She is also one of the goofiest, happiest pups you’ll ever encounter.
Don’t let her adventurous side fool you; Piper also knows how to crash like a pro and makes an excellent cuddle buddy when it’s time to wind down. In fact, she’ll probably expect a few rubs before drifting off to sleep.
Piper needs time to bond, but once you gain her trust, you have it for life, and she will never want to leave your side.
