Dobby

He didn’t start life as a dog. He’s just now learning how to become one.

Dobby was dumped on the side of the road after spending his life confined to a crate that was too small for him.

When he came in, his body told the story:

  • Contorted from lack of movement

  • Underweight and physically underdeveloped

  • Wounds from neglect

  • Severe tartar on every tooth—even the front ones (something you don’t normally see in a one-year-old dog)

He didn’t grow properly—because he wasn’t given the chance to.

πŸ’› Where He Is Now

And somehow… he’s still here.

Dobby has already:

  • Nearly doubled his weight

  • Started straightening out physically

  • Begun building muscle

  • Shown that he wants to live, learn, and connect

He is no longer that broken, shut-down dog.

But he’s also not “fixed.” Not even close.

🧠 What He Needs

Dobby is starting from zero.

He does not have:

  • Dog manners

  • Human manners

  • Structure or life experience

Everything is new to him.

He needs:

  • Patience

  • Consistency

  • Someone willing to teach him what being a dog actually is

πŸ‘‰ This is not a beginner dog. This is a build-from-the-ground-up dog.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Still physically developing

  • Still learning boundaries and behavior

  • Will require time, training, and structure

  • Not a “ready-made” companion

πŸ‘‰ He has a long road ahead—and he needs someone willing to walk it with him.

🏑 Ideal Home

Dobby needs someone who:

  • Understands rehabilitation, not just ownership

  • Can see progress in small wins

  • Has patience for setbacks

  • Wants to shape a life, not just adopt a dog

❀️ Why He’s Different

Most dogs come to you already knowing how to exist in the world.

Dobby doesn’t.

And that means every single thing he learns—
every ounce of trust, every bit of confidence—
comes from you.

🐾 Ready to Take That On?

This isn’t an easy dog.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog—for the right person.

This is a chaotic, love-filled, poop-scooping kind of place.
And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
