The future of Legacy Paws isn't just more dogs in rescue.
It's fewer dogs needing rescue in the first place.

We're still a young rescue. Some of the things we're talking about are programs we haven't built yet.

We're okay saying that.

We'd rather show you where we're going than pretend we're already there.
PREVENTION
Help before surrender.
We're working toward ways to help people understand what's happening with their dogs, find resources, work through challenges and explore options before surrender becomes the only answer.

STATUS: BUILDING

WHAT WE NEED: Someone to help build and lead this program.

FOSTER
From sanctuary-centered to home-centered.
Right now, Legacy Paws has no established foster network.

That's something we want to change.

We believe more dogs should be able to experience life in homes while they're waiting for what's next.

STATUS: BUILDING

WHAT WE NEED: Foster Program Builder & Lead + foster homes.

REHOMING
Better options when staying together isn't possible.
We're working toward a rehoming program that looks at both ends of the leash and helps create better outcomes for dogs and people.
