ACTIVITIES COVERED BY THIS WAIVER

By completing this waiver I acknowledge that my visit to Legacy Paws Rescue may include any or all of the following activities:
· Woodland trail experiences — uneven terrain, roots, slopes, and low-light or no-light conditions
· Creek crossings on foot — slippery surfaces, variable water depth, and moving water
· Bridges — elevated structures over water and terrain
· Zipline — aerial activity with inherent risk of injury
· Bonfire — open flame in an outdoor setting
· Jeep and 4-wheeler/ATV rides — as a passenger or as an operator using my own vehicle on private property
· After-dark trail experiences — limited visibility, intentional scare elements including costumed actors, props, staged scenes, hanging objects, and environmental effects
· Interaction with rescue dogs — including direct contact, trail walks, and proximity to dogs on and off leash
· Bringing my own dog onto the property — and interaction between my dog and resident rescue dogs

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand and acknowledge that participation in the activities listed above involves inherent risks including but not limited to: physical injury, falling, slipping, getting wet, collision, animal-related incidents, emotional distress from intentional scare elements, and accidents involving vehicles or equipment. I voluntarily assume all such risks.

RESCUE DOG RISK — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

I specifically acknowledge and accept the following risks associated with interacting with rescue dogs at Legacy Paws Rescue:
· Rescue dogs may have unknown histories, prior trauma, or behavioral challenges that are not fully known or predictable at the time of my visit
· Any dog — regardless of temperament or training level — may bite, scratch, knock over, or injure a person without warning and without prior signs of aggression
· I understand that Legacy Paws Rescue dogs are rescues in various stages of rehabilitation and that their behavior around strangers, children, other animals, or in unfamiliar situations cannot be fully guaranteed
· I accept full responsibility for my own behavior around the dogs and agree to follow all instructions given by Legacy Paws Rescue staff regarding safe dog interaction at all times
· I understand that children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times when in the presence of rescue dogs and that no child should be left alone with any dog · If I am bringing my own dog to the property, I accept full responsibility for my dog's behavior and any incident involving my dog and a Legacy Paws rescue dog or any person on the property. I confirm my dog is current on vaccinations and is not known to be dog-aggressive.
· I release Legacy Paws Rescue from all liability for any injury, damage, or incident caused by or involving a rescue dog during my visit

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being permitted to participate in activities at Legacy Paws Rescue, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Legacy Paws Rescue, its founder, volunteers, staff, board members, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury — including death — that may be sustained by me or any minor in my care while participating in any activity at Legacy Paws Rescue.

VEHICLE ACTIVITIES

If I am operating my own vehicle (Jeep, ATV, or other off-road vehicle) on the Legacy Paws Rescue property, I accept full responsibility for the safe operation of that vehicle and acknowledge that Legacy Paws Rescue assumes no liability for any damage, injury, or incident arising from the operation of my vehicle on the property.

If I am a passenger in a vehicle operated by Legacy Paws Rescue staff or volunteers, I acknowledge the off-road nature of the terrain and voluntarily assume all associated risks.

MINOR PARTICIPANTS

If I am completing this waiver on behalf of a minor under the age of 18, I represent that I am the parent or legal guardian of that minor and I accept full responsibility for their participation. I agree that the release of liability stated above applies equally to the minor in my care. I additionally accept responsibility for supervising the minor at all times — especially in the presence of rescue dogs, near water, near the zipline and bridges, and during vehicle activities.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

I confirm that I am in adequate physical health to participate in outdoor activities and that I am not aware of any medical condition that would make participation inadvisable. I accept full responsibility for any incident arising from an undisclosed medical condition.

PHOTO AND MEDIA RELEASE

I grant Legacy Paws Rescue permission to photograph or video my participation in activities for use on their website and social media channels. I understand I may opt out by notifying staff on arrival.

AGREEMENT

By signing below I confirm that I have read this waiver in full, that I understand its contents, and that I agree to its terms voluntarily and without pressure. I understand this is a legally binding document.
