THE STORY

Chester's journey is a testament to the power of a second chance. We found him alone and in pain, having been hit by a car and left in animal control for three long weeks. When we finally got him, the true extent of his struggle became clear. This brave dog was not only suffering from a broken hip but was also diagnosed with severe heartworm and an enlarged prostate. His fight for a pain-free life had just begun.

Chester's spirit remains unbroken. Despite his ordeal, he greets every person with a gentle wag of his tail, proving that even after facing cruelty, love and trust can still shine through. He is a truly special dog who deserves a chance to heal and find a loving home.

FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE

Chester's pain is far deeper than a broken hip. Our vets discovered a horrifying triple diagnosis: a CRIPPLING BROKEN HIP, a silent killer in the form of SEVERE HEARTWORM, and an enlarged prostate that is VISIBLY AND PHYSICALLY causing him pain. Doctors say he can’t have his life-saving surgery until the heartworm is gone! He’s on 5 different medications just to stay alive while his body battles the poison in his blood. This isn’t just an injury—this is a fight for survival! We're putting all our hope in one last step: his neutering, which vets believe will finally give him relief from the painful effects of his enlarged prostate.
