Chester’s journey has been anything but easy. This sweet senior was hit by a car, leaving him with a broken hip and a long road to recovery. Thanks to the generosity of another rescue, his surgery will be covered — but there’s a critical piece missing before we can even start his healing process.

Our sanctuary’s only entry has steep, unsafe stairs. For a dog recovering from major hip surgery, they’re not just difficult — they’re dangerous. Chester needs a safe, permanent ramp to get to and from appointments, rehab sessions, and eventually, to enjoy his new pain-free life.

We’ve already raised most of the $1,000 needed to build this ramp by reusing materials and doing the labor ourselves, but we’re still a few hundred dollars short. Every day we wait means Chester stays confined instead of beginning the active, supported recovery he deserves.
